My Skype handwriting lessons happen over the internet between myself, your child and you. They last for 45 minutes.
People need to pay for a number of blocks of lessons. Occupational therapy research suggests a series of handwriting lessons needs to be anywhere from 6 to 12 sessions for changes to occur. My blocks of handwriting lessons are either 6, 8 or 10.
Still not certain if this is right for your child?
Sometimes it can appear a bit daunting to know what to do next. There are two ways in which I can help. We can either speak on the phone or you could book a taster lesson. To speak on the phone it is best to email me and let me know a time that suits you to speak. That is because I am often working in schools and cannot stop a lesson to speak. Either way I am assure you I don’t two heads and scare children into changing their handwriting. In fact, I’m really nice and get FABULOUS results.
What is a taster lesson?
This will act as our first lesson, where your child will receive all my super input. They are a great way for your child to find out what to expect and how they can improve their writing whilst keeping it fun. It is also helpful for you, as parents, to use this as a time to gauge if I am the right person to help your child.
Can I book a refresher lesson?
Yes, if you have previously worked with me. Sometimes a little helpful reminder is needed to prevent old handwriting habits from reoccurring.
What appointment dates do you have available?
At the time of booking you will receive a weblink to my online dairy. Appointments are available Monday to Saturday, both after school and during the day. The frequency between when each session is down to you decide. Personally I recommend weekly sessions to start as I feel that helps make the most progress. However if your child is doubting their abilities fortnightly might be a great way to boost both their skill and confidence.
