Here you will find 4 worksheets. These worksheets are aimed at older children who struggle with letter size.
The first two worksheets encourage children to look at the letter shape to help them learn about letter size. Letter shapes can be broken into three areas: base, tall and fall.
The third worksheet is for children to incorporate what they have learnt by writing sentences or paragraphs. Here they should be concentrating on their letter size.
In between writing their sentences or paragraphs there is a checklist to help them analyse their own writing.
I have used these sheets in two ways. For those that struggle to write or have dyslexia I only use the first two worksheets. I do not move them onto writing until I feel they are ready. At times I have just asked them to write the word only. For those who are more advanced I ask them to write the words they have been looking at within full paragraphs..
