Here you will find 3 activity sheets and 2 advice sheets designed to help you or a child set their own handwriting goals. Sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate whether a person has handwriting difficulty or whether they find what to write a struggle. By using these sheets it will help you or a child set their own handwriting goals that are realistic and measurable. This can be particularly helpful if you are writing individual learning plans (ILP).
The way that I use these sheets is if the child is old enough I sit down with them and ask them to write a sentence or a paragraph. Then using that piece of written work I ask them to review it by colouring the circles based on how they feel about their handwriting and how they feel about what they have written. The children should score numerically but can also use the cat emoji faces to help them decide their answers.
